Woodnotes has been participated at the Milan Fair every year since 1998. So, this was Woodnotes’s 22nd time in Milan and Woodnotes set up a 100-square-meter stand in Milan, which was larger than ever before. Ulla Koskinen has designed and styled the stand.
Woodnotes on ollut Milanon messuilla mukana joka vuosi vuodesta 1998 lähtien, jolloin yritys oli tapahtuman ainoa suomalaisedustaja. Tämä oli siis Woodnotesin 22. kerta Milanossa ja Woodnotesin osasto oli suurempi kuin koskaan aiemmin: osasto oli 100 m2. Osaston suunnittelusta ja stailauksesta vastasi Ulla Koskinen.
According to Mikko Puotila, founder and CEO of Design Company Woodnotes, Salone del Mobile has always been the design industry's most important annual event, but in recent years it has become an even more important international forum. "In Milan, you will meet the whole world, where Finns and Mexicans, as well as Swedes and Argentines, will meet. This is very comprehensive and allows you to create contacts in many places." However, according to Puotila, the focus of the fair to introduce novelties to old and new contacts. – “We reached both resellers, architects, the press and interior designers.”
Design yritys Woodnotesin perustajan ja toimitusjohtajan Mikko Puotilan mukaan Salone del Mobile on aina ollut alan tärkein vuosittainen tapahtuma, mutta viime vuosina siitä on tullut vielä tärkeämpi kansainvälinen foorumi. Puotila toteaa: "Milanossa tapaa koko maailman. Siellä kohtaavat suomalaiset ja meksikolaiset sekä ruotsalaiset ja argentiinalaiset. Otanta on hyvin kattava ja mahdollistaa kontaktien luomisen moneen paikkaan." Milanon messut ovat tärkeä kohtaamispaikka esitellä tuoteuutuuksia vanhoille ja uusille kontakteille. Messuilla kohtasimme niin jälleenmyyjiä, arkkitehtejä, lehdistöä kuin sisustusarkkitehtejä ja -suunnitelijoita.
Woodnotes presented five new products at this spring's fair. Three new mats: handmade wool carpets Grid and Uni, Hanna Korvela's hand-woven cotton pads Duetto and Piccolo and the outdoor Saimaa outdoor carpets and upholstery collection. Also new are the Laveri bench designed for indoor and outdoor spaces by Ulla Koskinen, the Magazine rack and a dining table to Twiggy table collection design by Raffaella Mangiarotti and Ilkka Suppanen and especially for outdoor designed knitted Garden throws and cushion by Minna Ahokas
Woodnotes esitteli tämän kevään messuilla viisi uutuustuotettaan. Kolme uutta mattosarjaa: käsin solmitut villamatot Grid ja Uni, Hanna Korvelan käsinkudotut puuvilla-paperinarumatot Duetto ja Piccolo sekä ulkotiloihin soveltuva Saimaa outdoor -kokoelma. Uutuuksia olivat myös Ulla Koskisen suunnittelema sisä- ja ulkotiloihin soveltuva Laveri-penkki, Raffaella Mangiarottin ja Ilkka Suppasen lehtiteline ja Twiggy pöytäsarjaan kuuluva ruokapöytä ja erityisesti ulkotiloihin Minna Ahokaan suunnittelemat neulotut Garden peitot ja tyynyt.
GRID AND UNI HAND KNOTTED WOOL CARPETS
Made of 90% pure new wool and 10% cotton, the hand knotted carpet collection has two designs, plain /monochrome Uni and two-toned web-like Grid. The carpets combine the softness of New Zealand sheep's wool and the special long fiber of Sardinia sheep's wool in a fine way. The colour palette is soft earthy. GRID JA UNI KÄSINSOLMITUT VILLAMATOT
Käsinsolmittujen villamattojen kokoelman muodostaa kaksi mallia, yksivärinen Uni ja kaksivärinen verkkokuvioinen Grid. Matoissa on 90% puhdasta uutta villaa ja 10% puuvillaa. DUETTO AND PICCOLO COTTON PAPER YARN CARPETS
The Duetto and Piccolo rugs are hand woven in Finland. The materials are harmonic duet of cotton and paper yarn. They combine the best qualities of both materials. DUETTO JA PICCOLO PUUVILLAPAPERINARUMATOT
Duetto ja Piccolo matot ovat Suomessa käsinkudottuja. Puuvilla ja paperinaru muodostavat materiaalidueton. OUTDOOR CARPETS
Woodnotes outdoor carpets are suited for all moist and humid conditions and for indoor use. The material, 100% polypropylene fiber, is intended especially for outdoor use e.g. terrace, balcony and pool area. Polypropylene warms like wool and is transpiring. The Woodnotes outdoor carpets have a soft feel and are transpiring therefore ideal for leisure living. In addition to resistance to abrasion, the Woodnotes outdoor carpet offers high color fastness against sunlight and are also resistant to sea and swimming pool water. ULKOTILAN MATTO
Woodnotes ulkotilanmatot sopivat kaikkiin kosteisiin olosuhteisiin sekä sisäkäyttöön. Kosteuden kestävä materiaali, 100% polypropeeni, mahdollistaa maton käytön erityisesti ulkotiloissa esim. terasseilla, parvekkeilla ja uima-allasalueilla. The material for the Garden textiles, 100% polypropylene fiber, is especially designed for outdoor use for example on patios, gardens and balconies. The material is carefree, weatherproof, quick-drying and machine washable. The knitted Garden cushion has an interesting, stylized ornamental three-dimensional surface. TWIGGY DINING TABLE
Twiggy high dining table was first time on show in Milan and it attracted a lot of positive attention. Twiggy dining table is a newest member to the Twiggy table family. The Twiggy dining table is a visually light, but physically due to the thick glass top very heavy table. The table will be come late autumn to the production. Size 90,5 x 260,5 x 75 cm. Korkea Twiggy ruokapöytä oli Milanossa ensiesittelyssä ja se keräsi osakseen paljon myönteistä huomiota. Twiggy ruokapöytä on Twiggy pöytäperheen uusin jäsen. Twiggy ruokapöytä on visuaalisesti kevyt, mutta fyysisesti hyvin painava paksun lasikantensa takia. Pöytä on tulossa myöhemmin syksyllä tuotantoon. Koko 90,5 x 260,5 x 75 cm. MAGAZINE RACK
The new Woodnotes Magazine Rack keeps newspapers and magazines in god order. The frame is oak and available also in black. The bag is made of woven paper yarn fabric and available in eight colours. Please take a closer look at the Magazine rack.
